The Hollywood Sign
The Hollywood sign was built in 1923 by an advertising company to read “Hollywoodland.” The sign originally announced a new housing development, but it quickly grew in popularity and was made permanent. But in 1946, they dropped the “land.”
Today, you may either find a site nearby to take photos with the sign or walk the Hollywood Hills to get a closer look. Join the Hollywood Sign Tour for a guided stroll through the Hollywood Hills to discover everything there is to know about this well-known location. The greatest views of Los Angeles, all the way to the ocean, are waiting for you at the top!

Beverly Hills is one of the city’s most well-known regions and a popular tourist attraction in Los Angeles. Everyone is familiar with the zip code 90210, which is also one of the most expensive areas to reside in the country.
Mega-celebrities, luxury shopping, and some of the most amazing properties in the world can all be located in this area, making it one of the most Los Angeles famous places. Many visitors who come to Los Angeles take the open-top bus tour of celebrity houses, which provides an inside look at the exciting world of celebrities.
Los Angeles Beaches
One of the numerous attractions in Los Angeles is its stunning beaches, which stretch 75 miles along the coast and feature beautiful spots from Malibu to Long Beach. Here are some of the best beaches in Los Angeles that we recommend you visit.
Santa Monica Beach
The Santa Monica beach is stunning on its own. But more importantly, it’s worthwhile to visit the pier. Restaurants, shops, and the Pacific Park amusement park are all present at the Pacific Park Santa Monica Pier.
You have free admission and unlimited use of all twelve rides at Pacific Park with your pass. For breathtaking views of the beach and ocean, you must ride on Pacific Wheel, the Ferris wheel placed in Pacific Park.
Malibu is well-known for its beaches and the glamorous celebrity homes that line the coast. Discover which celebrities live in Malibu by taking a tour of the area’s celebrity homes. See residences owned by Bruce Willis, Cher, and Leonardo DiCaprio, among others. Furthermore, you’ll have a chance to visit the pier and beach in Malibu.
Venice Beach is great to visit due to its artistic and liberal vibe. So why not rent a bike or rollerblade from Perry’s Beach Café for the whole day and explore the area? Pick up some skates or bikes and head along the well-known boardwalk to take in the quirky sights of Venice Beach. Moreover, keep an eye out for famous people; you never know who you might run into.
A little further down the coast lies Long Beach. Long Beach has a good deal of attractions in addition to a beautiful beach. Be sure to check out the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Queen Mary ship while you’re in this area of LA.
Los Angeles is the perfect city for thrill-seekers because it is also well-known for its theme parks. Everyone can find something to enjoy in LA’s theme parks, whether you’re traveling alone, with kids, or with other adults.
Universal Studios Hollywood
A theme park and a working film studio lot are combined in Universal Studios Hollywood. As a result, in addition to having a ton of rollercoasters and attractions with movie themes, it also offers the interactive, theatrical Universal Studios Tour, which works both as a guided tour and a ride on its own.
The Studios tour must be the one thing you do while touring USH. To get the most out of your trip, be sure to read our Universal Studios Hollywood guide before you go.
Knott’s Berry Farm
When Knott’s Berry Farm was first established in the 1920s, it was a family-run amusement park. It is currently one of the USA’s most famous theme parks. Additionally, it is well known for its seasonal events, including Knott’s Scary Farm and Knott’s Merry Farm.

But this is the O.G. of Disney Parks. The only one completed during Walt Disney’s lifetime is this one. However, when compared to today, it had only 18 rides back then.
Walt Disney Concert Hall
The crazily shaped concert hall built by famed architect Frank Gehry, which opened in 2003, was largely to blame for Downtown’s rebirth. Oddly, some of the shiny metal panels on the façade had to be muted since the sun reflected off of them, creating hotspots that could reach 60°C (140°F) in nearby apartments and on sidewalks!

Roads In L.A.
It makes sense that a bustling city that worships cars would have many noteworthy thoroughfares. But in that regard, Los Angeles is famous for something very peculiar: roads close to inner-city cities that seem to have a life of their own.
Jimmy Choo, Cartier, Rolex, Bulgari, Burberry, Hermès, Prada Tiffany’s,… These are just a few of the more than 100 luxury boutiques that are located here. However, it’s interesting to note that all of these stores are packed within a three-block area of this famous Beverly Hills road between Santa Monica and Wilshire boulevards.
Hollywood Boulevard rarely requires an introduction as it is home to several renowned Los Angeles landmarks such as Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the Dolby Theatre (where the Oscars have been held since 2002), and the bulk of the Walk of Fame stars.
Although Hollywood Boulevard is now one of the major streets in Los Angeles, it wasn’t always a famous tourist attraction. When studios and locals moved to the suburbs in the 1970s (when else? ), the area was overtaken by a (wonderful) freak scene. Just a decade later, revitalization efforts would get started.
We couldn’t possibly overlook a road that was so fascinating. After it, David Lynch named his interesting tribute to Los Angeles. Mulholland Drive, which winds around the Santa Monica Mountains, is famous for its unhindered vistas of the city, as shown in the photo above.
Because some of the most luxury housing on Earth have Mulholland Drive as their address, many Hollywood celebrities, including Jack Nicholson, are believed to have constructed their small homes here.
The Bottom Line
Los Angeles is well-known for many things, a few of which are a result of its size and increasing power over the previous century. Everyone who visits the city will have a memorable experience there. Even if you’ve never been there, Los Angeles has had a direct and indirect influence on the world. LA will continue increasing and influencing the world.
